Zachary Mikwa

Zachary Mikwa is the General Manager, Kenya for the KliK Foundation, where he leads the foundation’s efforts to develop high-integrity carbon market partnerships and Article 6 activities in Kenya. He is a climate finance and carbon markets specialist with over a decade of experience spanning carbon markets, climate policy, sustainable finance, and green investment across Africa. Prior to joining KliK, he served as Senior Advisor on Carbon Markets in Kenya’s Office of the Special Climate Envoy, supporting the development of Kenya’s carbon market framework and international Article 6 cooperation. He has also worked at the regional level through the East African Community and the Global Green Growth Institute, leading initiatives on NDC implementation and climate finance mobilization across East Africa, and at the pan-African level through the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance. His work focuses on mobilizing climate finance, scaling carbon market investments, and advancing Africa’s transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy.
