Hubert Ruzibiza
Hubert is a seasoned Climate Finance Advisor with over 18 years of experience. He has advised various public and private sector entities in Africa, including international organizations, in mobilizing resources, structuring green investment vehicles, and facilitating countries in their transition in the green economy. He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Green Fund, where he spearheaded the development of new climate finance programs and instruments, which positioned the Fund globally and received the UN Climate Action Award in the Financing For Climate-Friendly Investment category. Hubert spent the last 18 years between the public and private sectors in Rwanda and overseas. Before joining the Rwanda Green Fund, he had started his own investment advisory, Impactis Capital, and before was as Senior Manager at the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) where he developed successful programs for the Financial Services and Healthcare sectors. Hubert sits on various boards, including the Africa Green Economy Summit since 2024. He was an International Board Advisor at the Coalition for Green Capital and a board of director at Acumen Resilient Agriculture Fund on representing funders. He is a Senior Climate Finance and Technical Advisor for the Africa Green Infrastructure Investment Bank (AfGIIB), which is an African Union-convened platform and led by African institutional investors. Hubert has a Master in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and Bachelor in Finance & International Business from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He has attended Executive Education at Said Business School, Oxford University in the UK. He is fluent in French.
