Ed Agnew

Ed Agnew is Director of Carbon Partnerships at Sistema.bio, where he leads the company’s carbon finance strategy and strategic partnerships to scale clean energy access for smallholder farmers. With nearly a decade of experience in clean energy, climate finance, and carbon markets, he has worked across the voluntary carbon market ecosystem and increasingly focuses on delivering carbon projects under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Since joining Sistema.bio in late 2024, Ed has helped advance innovative financing approaches for agricultural methane reduction and rural energy access, notably through the launch of FarmCarbon, an in-house financing vehicle designed to unlock carbon-backed institutional capital for smallholder farmers. His work centres on using carbon finance to scale best-in-class climate solutions that deliver measurable environmental, social, and economic benefits for farming communities.
