Amy Rhoades

Amy Rhoades is Chief Communications & Engagement Officer at Carbon Standards International, where she leads communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, and market positioning for the carbon removal standards body.
Before joining Carbon Standards, she spent over 10 years with the UN leading large-scale communications and behaviour change programmes across complex environments including Iraq, Bangladesh and Niger – working for the UN Migration Agency (IOM), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and national governments. She has provided communications trainings and worked alongside regional and country teams in more than 40 countries and previously lived in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the Philippines.
She is co-founder of Lost Glacier, an off-grid Alpine centre for climate resilience that brings together farmers, climate-tech partners, and researchers to build practical pathways for carbon farming and carbon removal.
Amy holds an MA in International Law and Human Rights from the Universidad para la Paz, a UN-mandated university in Costa Rica and a BA from Colgate University, New York.
