Lukas Visek

Lukas Visek is the Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Task Force for Carbon Pricing and Carbon Markets at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action. Previously, he was a member of the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans and of EVP Maroš Šefčovič. In the context of the European Green Deal, his responsibilities covered agriculture, zero pollution initiatives, carbon removals, health and migration. Lukas started working in the European Commission in 2001 after three years in the Czech Ministry of Agriculture. Lukas graduated as an economist from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
